With the 2004 Olympics, Misty May and Keri Walsh became household names, and their sport became a household word.

Volleyball on the beach is great exercise and an ideal way to enjoy your time in Panama City Beach, Florida. Many of the hotels have their own volleyball courts, or you can bring your own net and ball — it's basic equipment and easy to stash in your vehicle!

You can include as many players as you like, as well as all players of all ages. You can play to the magic number of 21 or make up your own point system.

Did you know that the first recorded beach volleyball court dates back to around 1920? And that in 1930, the first two-man game was played in Santa Monica, California?
